We’re excited to be heading back to
Mr Wolfs, Bristol bringing our surf psych shenanigans to the stage.
Opening up we’ve got
BullyBones, a fast and raw garage/punk outfit who will get a little sweaty action in to start the night ! You seriously DO NOT want to miss them on at 10pm.
And after us you can dance the rest of the night away with Mr Wolfs resident DJ Nino who’ll be keeping things moving with the usual blend of funk, hip hop and soul bangers till late!!
Doors @ 9pm, £3/4 entry.
Don’t sleep on this one!
Not only did
BBC Radio 6 Music‘s Tom Robinson play Palooka 5 on Saturday night – he’s only gone and stuck us on his BBC Music Introducing‘Mixtape’ too… ahem… always loved his stuff. Link below about 17 mins in. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p071ltdx BINGO!
Mucho gracias to
The Skimmity Hitchers and Monkey Bizzle for involving Palooka 5 in the The Monarch Camden ‘sell out’ last night – a bloody triumph ! ….and also to our new hero Jules Bushell who stepped up as deputy bass boy with only one rehearsal! (Love to Rachel Sutton, Si Sadler and Phil Palmer for these snaps) Next up Mr. Wolf’s Bristol Palooka 5 + Bullybones // Resident DJ’s. Booooyah!
Knocked out to hear ourselves on BBC Radio 6 Music again – thanks Tom Robinson (about 24mins in) he said our track “wouldn’t be out of place on an album of lost classics by Dick Dale or The Monks”…yep we’ll take that. Come see us in Camden this Friday, West Country Invasion – Skimmity Hitchers / P5 / Monkey Bizzle
…a little overheated here at Palooka 5 HQ with the news that we’ll be playing Boardmasters surf fest, Newquay this summer. Thrilled to bits to say the least. We’re on Sunday night 21.45 – 22.30 on The Keg stage. Off now for a lie down with a medium strength beverage and a bag of nuts….ooofff
Super cosy stage buddies at
Chaplins & The Cellar Bar, Bournemouth – check out Mr Hammond Organ in the broom cupboard, big love to all who made it such a great night!
hat tip to Palooka 5 Marvellous Gig Photography for allowing us to share these from In Cider Festival Pontins Weston-S-Mare – cracking’ that!
